Dedicated to Davidson College and the surrounding community, Much Ado About You– Davidson Catering Group has been serving with excellence for decades. Our team makes Much Ado about everything; whether planning a Wedding event or sending a fruit basket to a friend. Fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, as well as exceptional services that stay current and on trend without losing traditions that matter to you. We offer made-from-scratch recipes and provide farm produce, as well as special dietary requests at no additional charge. Our on-site bakery offers the finest confections, including wedding cakes, and our Special Events Coordinator will help with any finishing touches you need including florals, gift packages or personalized styling for your event.

In 2006 the Davidson College Catering Department was tasked with developing a brand, including a name to help distinguish ourselves as we expanded and began to serve the surrounding community. We started by looking for a name that would describe our tradition for exceptional food and service with an emphasis on personalized attention to details that most caterers at the time were not providing. We were hosting the Royal Shakespearean Company on campus during this time and serving them breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The combination of being so immersed in the RSC and searching for a new name soon gave birth to Much Ado Catering. The meaning seemed to fit with our philosophy of making a big deal even of the smallest event. A few years later several new team members came on board and we were able to expand our services to include in-house wedding and floral services. With the additional staff, our name became Much Ado—Davidson Catering Group.
Every decision we make is centered around the idea that YOU are the main character in our performance! Over the years, we have continued to innovate and grow and keep up with the times. Creating an event that fits your plan and purpose is of primary importance to us, whether it is a small afternoon coffee break between business meetings, or a multi-course sit-down dinner. Our wide variety of services fit every taste, dietary restriction, and budget. Much Ado can accommodate a wide range of events in size and theme at virtually any location.

Much Ado is also proud to have a full-service Bakery. The on-premises bakery offers a wide variety of confections you will not want to omit from your menu. Pastries, Tea Breads, Brownies, Muffins, Cookies and Cupcakes are baked daily. And if you are having a special occasion, you will want to setup a tasting and try the fabulous cakes and frostings. A Much Ado Celebration/Wedding Cake is truly a work of art!
